Who we are
Melyra is developed and operated by Reysa Technologies, a brand of Biota Ventures Private Limited.
Biota Ventures Private Limited is the legal entity responsible for the application and the processing of personal data described in this Privacy Policy.
Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the Melyra Android application (the “App”) and the Melyra website (together, the “Services”), provided by Reysa Technologies (“Melyra,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). It does not cover third-party services that you choose to use with Melyra.
Information we collect and how we use it
Melyra does not require an account. The App handles the following information, which you enter or choose to provide:
- Health records: lab reports and test values, medicines and dose schedules, notes, and body measurements.
- Family profiles: names and details of family members whose records you keep.
- Documents and images that you choose to import or capture with the camera.
- Google account information and backup files, only if you turn on Google Drive backup (see section 04).
How we use it. This information is used only to provide the features you request, such as organizing reports, showing trends, and sending medicine reminders. It is stored in the App’s private storage on your device and processed there. We do not receive or maintain a copy of your health records on our servers, and we do not use your information for advertising or profiling.
The App may request device permissions—such as camera, file access, or notifications—only when they are needed for a feature you choose to use. You can manage permissions in your device settings, although disabling one may prevent the related feature from working.
Backups and exports
If you export a password-protected backup or enable an optional backup to your personal Google Drive, you decide where that copy is kept and when it is removed. Google’s privacy terms apply to files stored in Google Drive. Keep your backup password safe: Melyra cannot recover it for you.
Google user data: access, use, storage and sharing
Google Drive backup is optional and turned off by default. Melyra works fully without a Google account. If you turn on Drive backup, you sign in with Google and approve the following access on Google’s consent screen:
- Basic account information (the
openid,emailandprofilescopes): your Google account ID, email address, name and profile picture. Melyra uses these only to sign you in to Drive backup and to show which Google account your backups are saved to. - Google Drive app data folder (the
drive.appdatascope): a hidden folder in your Drive that only Melyra can use. Melyra uses it only to create, update, list, restore and delete its own backup files. It cannot see, open or change any other file in your Google Drive.
How it is stored and protected. Before a backup leaves your device, Melyra encrypts it with the backup password you set, so the file in your Drive cannot be read without that password. Your Google account information is kept only on your device. Google user data is sent directly between your device and Google over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. It is never sent to, stored on, or viewed by Reysa Technologies, and we do not run servers that receive it.
Sharing. We do not sell, share or transfer Google user data to anyone. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to develop, improve or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models. No person at Reysa Technologies reads it.
Retention and deletion. Backup files stay in your Drive until you delete them in the App or turn off Drive backup. You can also delete them in Google Drive under Settings → Manage apps → Melyra → Delete hidden app data. Signing out of Drive backup in the App removes your Google account information from your device. You can revoke Melyra’s access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Limited Use. Melyra’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Information collected by this website
This website does not ask you to create an account, submit health information, or complete a contact form. The opening quiz runs in your browser: your answers are not sent to us. Your browser’s local storage keeps your language choice and a timestamp so the quiz stays dismissed for three days. Both stay on your device until you clear your browser storage.
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they view. It uses cookies to collect information such as pages visited, time on page, the referring site, your browser and device type, and approximate location derived from your IP address. We use it only for aggregate statistics about the website. It is not connected to the App or to your health records, and we do not use it for advertising. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Like most websites, our hosting and security providers may automatically process limited technical logs—such as an IP address, browser type, request time, and requested page—to deliver the site, keep it secure, and diagnose faults. Their retention depends on the provider’s security and operational settings.
Data retention and deletion
App records remain on your device until you delete them or remove the App, subject to your device’s operating-system behavior. Exported files and personal Drive backups remain wherever you placed them until you delete them there. We cannot delete local or personal-backup data on your behalf because we do not control it.
Data security
Keeping records on your device reduces the need to transmit sensitive information. No method of storage is completely secure, so use a screen lock, keep your device updated, protect exported backups with a strong password, and avoid sharing backup files through insecure channels.
Children’s privacy
Melyra is not directed to children. An adult may use the App to organize records for a child or another family member where authorized to do so. The adult is responsible for obtaining any consent required and for protecting access to the device and backups.
Your rights and choices
You can view, edit, export, and delete records within the App; change device permissions in Android settings; remove backups from their storage location; and clear this website’s local storage through your browser. If a law gives you additional privacy rights, contact us and we will respond as required. We may need enough information to understand your request, but we cannot retrieve records that exist only on your device.
Third-party services
The Services may link to Google Play, Google Drive, or other third-party services. Their own terms and privacy policies govern their handling of information. We encourage you to review them before using those services.
Changes to this policy and contact us
